Universal Input
QMX is designed with a wide input voltage range from 85 – 265 VAC, making it an ideal choice for any worldwide application. Power Factor Correction and 16A maximum current draw ensures the charger will work reliably from any power outlet in the world, even through surges and sags.
Standardizing on a single universal model reduces component count, saving vehicle OEMs manufacturing and service inventory management costs.
Reduced Operating Costs
The high-efficiency design and near unity Power Factor combine to make the QMX charger extremely grid-friendly. Up to 92% of power taken from the grid is converted to real power to charge the battery. This not only saves users in raw electricity costs when compared to non - Power Factor Current chargers, but avoids Power Factor surcharges from utilities as well.
CANbus Communication
There are two CANbus ports; one for charger control and another for flashing. This is to fully integrate into the network design and maintain the vehicle controller’s awareness of all system components.
Designed for Onboard Use
The QMX is designed with high environmental ratings and intelligent mechanical packaging. This provides much flexibility in where it can be installed and the type of cooling that can be used. Ultimately, this means there is more freedom for vehicle designers to integrate the QMX into their designs.
Optional DC Output
This option to the QMX supplies a pre-settable, 400W 12V-bus voltage while the charger is connected to AC power. It is intended to power any accessories or battery maintenance devices while the rest of the vehicle is off. This simplifies the system by eliminating the need for an external 12V power supply and adding monitoring of the optional output on the CANbus.
