Delta-Q Introduces 84V and 96V QuiQ Chargers
Broadens 1 kW charger line to higher voltages aimed
at the higher power electric vehicle market
Burnaby, BC – September 2, 2008 — Delta-Q Technologies Corp. is pleased to introduce 84V and 96V versions of its industry leading QuiQ charger. The QuiQ HF/PFC Battery Charger is now available in six different voltages; 24V, 36V, 48V, 72V, 84V, and 96V.
Introducing the 84V and 96V QuiQ Chargers
The new 84V and 96V QuiQ chargers from Delta-Q enable you to use the higher torque and higher efficiency of 84V and 96V motors and controllers. Based on the standard Delta-Q QuiQ charger, the new chargers take advantage of the QuiQ's proven performance and reliability in all conditions. These new products eliminate the need to split your battery pack for charging and have two separate, lower voltage chargers handle your higher voltage configurations. Each is a 1 kW charger, maximizing the power available from a 15A 120V circuit.
The Delta-Q QuiQ Charger
The QuiQ charger was designed to operate worldwide with input voltages from 85-265 VAC. The QuiQ has proven very popular, with almost 200,000 units shipped worldwide. Featuring high efficiency and active Power Factor Correction, the sealed unit was designed for onboard operation in harsh environments. It uses proprietary charging algorithms to charge batteries intelligently and extend battery life. Its microprocessor controller can hold up to 10 Delta-Q developed optimized charge algorithms. The charger reduces operating costs and improves system performance and reliability.
