Delta-Q Technologies Announces New Appointments to Board of Directors

 

November 19, 2010 – Delta-Q Technologies Corp. announced the addition of David Bookbinder, David Carroll, and Steve West to its Board of Directors.  The company’s new directors bring a wide range of relevant experience to help advise and guide the company through its aggressive growth plans.

Delta-Q’s newest board members are as follows:

 

David Bookbinder, Managing Partner, Tandem Expansion Fund

David Bookbinder is a co-founder of Marsulex Inc., Chemtrade Logistics Income Trust , and SPI Polyols, Inc. During his career, Mr. Bookbinder has identified and closed many investment opportunities and subsequently realized upon them through private and public sales. Mr. Bookbinder has repositioned companies to capitalize on changing market and competitive conditions, has directed merger and acquisition and capital markets activities such as public listings and private capital raising and has completed the restructuring of several distressed or bankrupt companies. Mr. Bookbinder's experience is global with business activities conducted in Canada, the United States, Brazil, China, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Holland, Germany and Botswana. Mr. Bookbinder is also the co-Founder and President of Orfund Foundation, a Canadian Registered Charity, which provides support to orphans and vulnerable children in Botswana, Africa. Mr. Bookbinder received a Master of Science, Development Management from OU, United Kingdom.

 

David Carroll, Executive Vice President - Corporate Development, Tomkins

David has spent his entire career in the automotive industry.  He started work as a Production Foreman for General Motors in 1980.  In 1984 he joined Magna International Inc. where he had a variety of sales, marketing & planning roles.  In 1992 he spent 3 years working at Meridian Technologies as Vice President of Marketing & Sales.  In 1996 Dave moved to Tesma International Inc, which was a fledgling public company, as Vice President Planning & Corporate Development. He returned to Magna as Senior Vice President of Marketing & Corporate Planning in 2001. In July 2003 he joined Tomkins; a global engineering company as Executive Vice President.  He is currently Executive Vice President, Corporate Development. Dave Carroll has a BA and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario.

 

Steve West, Founder and Partner, Emerging Company Partners:

Steve has been a member of the Board of Diretors of Cisco Systems Inc. since April 1996. He is a founder and partner of Emerging Company Partners LLC, which was formed in January 2004 and provides executive management advisory and consulting services for early to mid-stage technology companies. He served as Chief Operating Officer of nCUBE Corporation, a provider of on-demand media systems, from December 2001 to July 2003. Prior to joining nCUBE, he was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Entera, Inc. from September 1999 until it was acquired by Blue Coat Systems, Inc. (formerly CacheFlow Inc.) in January 2001. From June 1996 to September 1999, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Hitachi Data Systems, a joint venture computer hardware services company owned by Hitachi, Ltd. and Electronic Data Systems Corporation. Prior to that, Steve was at Electronic Data Systems Corporation from November 1984 to June 1996. Steve serves on the board of Autodesk and D-Wave Systems and also served on the board of Bycast Inc. (recently acquired by NetApp).
