BCTIA’s Most Promising Start-Up Award

Burnaby, BC – June 11, 2003 — Delta-Q Technologies is pleased to announce that was named a Finalist for Most Promising Start-Up in the BCTIA’s 2003 Technology Impact Awards. BC TIA’s premier gala event is a celebration of excellence. Attended by over 1000 people, this illustrious event is a veritable who’s who of the technology industry in British Columbia.

Founded in 1999, Delta-Q has worked tirelessly to research its marketplace, obtain appropriate funding, and develop its first product. Just entering the commercial phase of its business plan, Delta-Q is poised to bring significant value to OEM providers of electric drive vehicles. Ken Fielding, Delta-Q’s President and CEO, says “We are pleased to be recognized by BCTIA for our clear vision and focused business plan. Our small team is passionate about what we’re doing.” George Hunter, President, BC TIA, addsThis province is home to world class technology and brilliant, innovative people. We are thrilled to be able to promote and celebrate the achievements and dedication of these companies through this awards program.”

Delta-Q’s products significantly improve the performance of today’s electric drive vehicles used in transport, recreational, industrial and materials handling applications. Delta-Q’s QuiQTM battery charger uses proprietary charging algorithms to charge batteries faster and extend battery life; unparalleled power conversion efficiency saves the power grid up to 15%. The company’s advanced 1000 Watt power conversion platform converts AC to DC at such a high efficiency that it requires no cooling fan and is supplied in a fully sealed enclosure – Delta-Q chargers can go 'under the hood' onboard a vehicle. With successful penetration of vehicle OEMs getting the base product platform onboard the vehicle, Delta-Q will begin integrating various other onboard electrical components to become a one-stop supply house for these OEM customers.
